Calvary Chapel of Jonesboro

 Calvary Chapel Women's Ministry

Calvary Chapel has as its women's ministry goal to raise up women whose passion is to know Jesus Christ and whose purpose is to raise up a generation of women who embrace biblical femininity.

Presently, we do this through a Ladies Bible study on Wednesday afternoons at 1:00 p.m. - Currently the ladies are studying the books of 1 & 2 Samuel.

We have a ladies prayer meeting that meets every 2nd and 4th Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. to pray for each other, their families, the church, and our nation.  They take time to share with each other needs and concerns, then pray together.

Finally, we are beginning to build small groups of women who meet in discipleship groups.  To learn more about this ministry - check the Women's Discipleship Groups section.

Summer Ladies' Bible Study - Kay Arthur / 1 Corinthians

Picture
Starting Monday, June 28th, our ladies will have the opportunity to be a part of a Kay Arthur study on 1 Corinthians.  This study will begin each Monday night at 6:30 p.m.  Rebecca Orr will be teaching/facilitating the study.  The cost for materials is $16 and you can bring it the first night.  If you would like to be part of this study, call the church office by the 28th to let us know.  This will be a wonderful study - and as with all Kay Arthur studies, it will be an opporutnity to learn how to study the Bible through the Inductive Bible Study method.

Women's Discipleship Groups

Finally, we have a group of women who meet as a for "discipleship on Wednesday nights.  This women's D-group is studying the "Gospel" - a series of booklets dealing with the Gospel, what it is, how it affects us, and what it means to the Christian.  This group involves a weekly Bible Study as well as accountability to have a daily quiet time in the Word and to memorize Scripture.
